A competitive start to the conference season saw the West Central Valley Wildcats varsity squad fall in overtime Friday night on the road. West Central Valley girls basketball coach Drew Stonewall tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the Wildcats played four extra minutes with Ogden in a 40-36 setback in Boone County. Junior Sydney Neal topped the Wildcats with 17 points. The loss drops West Central Valley to 0-2 on the season and they resumes competition today at home against Ankeny Christian Academy.
