A University of Iowa football icon will be making another stop in Jefferson later today.
Former football player Chuck Long will be at Wild Rose Casino and Resort to present his newly released book, “Destined for Greatness.” The biography, written by Aaron Putze, talks about Long’s career from his childhood growing up in Wheaton, Illinois to his college playing days as a Hawkeye and later in the NFL. Long will be making a presentation on his book at 7pm, followed by a book signing and photos with fans.
Soft copies of the book are $20 and hard copies are $30. Both will be available for purchase at the event, which will begin at 6:30pm with the program to start at 7 at Coaches Corner.
