Minburn Library Celebrating “Noon Year’s Eve” for Those Who Can’t Make it to Midnight

The calendar will be flipping over to 2019 at midnight this Monday into Tuesday, and while many people will ring in the New Year at that time, for most kids it may be difficult to stay awake that long.

With that in mind, the Minburn Public Library is hosting a fun alternative for area children with their “Noon Year’s Eve Party” Monday morning. Participants will meet in the Minburn Elementary gymnasium starting at 11 a.m., and will be treated to snacks and games as they await the noon hour. They will have a countdown to noon and celebrate New Years along with people in Astana, Kazakhstan on the other side of the world, where it will be midnight.

There is no cost to attend the “Noon Year’s Eve Party,” and registration is not required.
