Dallas County Supervisors to Meet on Wednesday, Starting at Courthouse

Due to Tuesday being New Year’s Day, the Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Wednesday morning in regular session.

The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the 3rd floor courtroom at the Dallas County Courthouse in Adel. At that time, there will be a swearing-in ceremony for the re-elected Supervisors, Treasurer, and Recorder, as well as the new County Attorney. Following that, the meeting will shift to the Board of Supervisors meeting room at 902 Court Street. Once there, the Board will consider approval of the Weed Commissioner’s annual report, as well as the designation of Treasurer deputies and fiscal year 2019 appropriations.

Next, the Supervisors will consider several Board appointments, including their own assignments, official newspapers and depositories, eminent domain, and Boone Township Clerk. Other items on the agenda include: a construction evaluation resolution; the abatement of real estate taxes; and discussion on homecare provider services. The meeting will conclude with a possible closed session to discuss purchase of particular real estate. Additionally, the County’s budget workshops have been scheduled, with the first ones to be held on Monday, January 7th.
