Four upperclassmen on this year’s West Central Valley varsity wrestling team has amassed double-digit victories on the mat already this winter. According to the Wildcats’ team page on trackwrestling.com, junior Weston Pote and seniors Cole Sackett, Carson Wadle, and Zac Custard all will enter the new year with at least 10 match victories. Sackett (152; 10-4) and Custard (220; 10-5) each tallied 10 wins in their respective weight class. Pote (138; 12-4) and Wadle (182; 12-2) both enter competition in 2019 with a dozen wins on the mat. The West Central Valley Wildcats varsity wrestling team resumes their season Thursday, January 3, for a nonconference triangular event against Logan-Magnolia and Tri-Center at Logan-Magnolia High School.
