Wish to put your best foot forward this New Year’s Day?
Springbrook State Park is hosting a First Day Hike, which will take attendees on a journey through time, beginning in the present and hiking “back” until they reach the Ice Age. There will be stops along the way as hikers explore historically and geologically significant sites within the park. First Day Hikes are held across Iowa on January 1st to encourage residents to be active outdoors and spend time at their local parks. This 2-3 mile hike will start at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the campground gazebo. Preregistration is not required for this free event, and hot chocolate will be available in the park office afterwards.
