The Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department invites everyone to the Greene County Community Center this weekend for their annual free admission weekend event.
JPRD Director Vicky Lautner says anyone can use the community center for free this Saturday and Sunday. She points out there’s lots to do at the community center, such as a racquetball court, a gym with basketball hoops, a rock climbing wall, an indoor walking track, along with weight machines and exercise machines. There might even be wellness classes taking place. She points out the expansion of the wellness classes they currently offer.
“We offer a lot of wellness classes, I mean I think we hit about anything that anybody would want. We do a Tone and Tighten, Zumba, we’ve got yoga. We let anyone come in and try our classes once for free so that way you know whether you want to take the class or not.”
She adds that there’s no pre-registration necessary and encourages everyone to come in and check out the community center.
