The Jefferson Rotary Club continues to donate funds to local, worthy causes.

The local rotary organization recently donated $5,000 to the Greene County Action Resource Center (ARC) food pantry. The funds went towards the total needed to purchase their new location at 1006 North Vine Street, the former Clark Plumbing and Heating building. At the same meeting, Rotarians raised another $745 for the Raccoon Valley Radio’s Caring Christmas Food Drive. The money was used to purchase food items for less fortunate families during the holiday season.

The Jefferson Rotary Club also donated $500 to the Greene County Elementary School Ram Reader program. Every elementary student receives between 15 and 20 books during their elementary years, and the donation made by the rotary club helped to give kids a free opportunity to take books home before the holiday break.
